Dr. Katherine Selber is a Professor in the School of Social Work at Texas State University. She is a faculty leader and co-founder of their Veterans Initiative for supporting student veterans and military connected students on campus.

She is a key expert on veterans transitioning inclusive of building veteran well-being, PTSD, moral injury and academic support needs.

Dr. Selber has trained hundreds of social work and allied health students in military cultural competency, developed collaborations with veteran service organizations both in Texas and nationally, and published and developed funded grants to build capacity for serving and understanding veterans.
